What to know before you register
- 1. REGISTRATION
To register, click on the Purchase button under the preferred date(s) located at the right side of the course page.
IMPORTANT: You will be asked to enter an email for the account. This email will be used to send you the course content about two weeks prior to the start date. You may then enter your contact information and pay by credit card via a secure site.
Course fees must be received in full before the start of the seminar. Your registration will be confirmed via an automatic email once the payment is processed online.
- 2. FEES
Provincial taxes apply to the course fees.
Fees do include tuition and virtual materials only – remember to bring a printed or virtual copy as no copy will be supplied in class.
Fees do not include any refreshments or meals.
- 3. PAYMENT
We accept online payments with credit cards only. Corporate and personal credit cards are accepted and will be debited at the time of purchase.
- 4. ACCREDITATION
We offer highly practical not-for-credit courses so that you can easily integrate what you have learned into to your workplace. We encourage you to mention your successful completion of our courses on your resume and online profiles.
- 5. TAX FORMS
We do not provide any tax forms given that our courses are not-for-credit. However, you can discuss with your accountant whether you can claim the tuition fees for income tax purposes. Please retain a copy of your transaction receipt as proof of purchase.
- 6. BILL 90 / 1% LAW COMPLIANT
Our courses are certified for Bill 90 and fees can be applied towards Quebec’s 1% Law (Development of Manpower Training). Our registration number with the Quebec Ministry of Education, Leisure and Sport is # 979000.
- 7. LEARNING FORMULA
The McGill Management Centre has designed The Essential Series to fit into your busy schedule.
Our 6.5 hours courses conveniently take place from 6:00 to 9:30 pm two nights in a row, or in one full day. It’s up to you to choose which format you prefer.
Each course offers you the ability to learn about specific management topics in a highly interactive format.

- 9. SMOKING AND VAPING POLICY
In compliance with McGill University Smoking Policy, smoking or vaping are not permitted in our facilities. We invite you to go outside, in the designated areas.
How to prepare before the course
- 1. RECEIVE YOUR MATERIALS
About two weeks prior to the course, you will receive an email containing your course material to read and print (if needed) before the course.
Remember to bring a printed or virtual copy, as no copy will be supplied in class. You are welcome to bring your laptop or other device if you wish, but this is not mandatory.
- 2. HOW TO GET TO YOUR CLASS
Our courses take place at the McGill University Downtown Campus, Montreal, QC.
An email sent about two weeks prior to the start date will contain the building, classroom number and any other important information.
Cancellations are accepted if the email request is received at least two weeks (14 days) prior to the course start date. A full refund will be issued under these circumstances.
Late cancellation requests (received less than 14 days prior to the course start date) are not subject to refunds. However, participants may send a qualified substitute in their place at no charge. If a participant gives no notice prior to the course start date and fails to show up, the full fee will be forfeited on the first day of the course.
Course Date Cancellation
The McGill Management Centre reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason up to two weeks (14 days) before the start date. In the unlikely event of a course cancellation, paid fees will be refunded, but the McGill Management Centre is not responsible for any travel or other related expenses accrued by the registrant.
